Get all the ingredients ready |

Heat the pan with oil, add cumin, chana gram and green chilli, saute well until chana gram turns to brown. |

Add onion and curry leaves, saute well until onion turns to golden brown. |

Add kothamalli, saute well and cook for a minute. |
|
Add shredded coconut, tamarind and saute well. |
|
Cool it completely, then transfer it into the blender, add 1/2 cup water and blends into smooth paste. Heat the pan with oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and red dry chilli, when it splutters and add seasoning to the chutney. |
|
Kothamalli / Coriander Chutney is ready to serve with idli, dosa and rice. |
