Medu Vada

Urad gram - 1&1/2 cup, Rice - 1/4 cup, Green chilli - 4, Onion - 1/2, Black pepper - 1 tsp, Curry leaves, Malli / Coriander leaves, Salt  


Soak urad gram and rice for 2 hours. Grind it to smooth batter with little water (if required)
Add finely chopped onion, curry leaves, green chilli, malli, black pepper, salt and mix well.
Heat the fry pan with oil on the medium flame. Wet your palms and take a small size batter and make a hole in center and slide it in to the hot oil. Fry on both sides until it becomes golden brown in color.
Drain off the vada on to kitchen towel to absorb oil.
Medu Vada is ready to serve with coconut chutney and sambar.
