Surakkai / Bottle Gourd Dosa

Idli rice - 1 cup, Surakkai - 1 (small size), Onion - 1/2 chopped, Green chilli - 1 chopped, Curry leaves, Malli / Coriander leaves, Salt, Oil, Garlic - 3 cloves, Ginger - 1/2 inch


Soak the idli rice for 3 hours. In a blender, add soaked rice, ginger, garlic and blends it along with a cup of water to a slightly coarse paste.
Peeled and grated the surakkai(about 1 cup)
Add the finely chopped onion, green chilli, curry leaves, malli, salt and grated surakkai into a batter and mix well.
In dosa tawa, spread the batter as thin as possible. Drizzle oil or ghee and cook until the golden at the edge. Cook the dosa on both sides.
Surakkai / Bottle Gourd Dosa is ready to serve with coconut chutney and podi.
