Remove the middle thick part of the flowers, they tend to not cook and finely chopped the flowers. |

Boil the valaipoo with a pinch of turmeric powder and salt. It gets cooked quickly. |

After, drain the water completely and keep aside. |

Heat the pan with oil, add mustard seeds when its splutters, add urad gram, onion, green chilli and curry leaves and saute well until turns golden brown. |
|
Add turmeric powder, salt, coconut and mix well. Allow to cook for a minute. |
|
Add cooked vazhaipoo, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes. |
|
Vazhaipoo Poriyal is ready to serve. |
