Peerkangai / Ridge Gourd Poriyal

Peerkangai - 1, Oil - 1 tbsp, Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp, Bengal gram - 1 tbsp, Green chilli - 2, Onion, Curry leaves, Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp, Shredded coconut - 1/4 cup, Salt

Get all the ingredients ready.
Heat the pan with oil, add mustard seeds when it splutters, add bengal gram, green chilli, curry leaves, onion and saute well until onion turns to golden brown.
Add Peerkangai, turmeric powder, salt and saute well for 30 seconds.
Add 1/4 cup of water and mix well. Close the pan with lid and let it cook for 10-15 minutes.
Cook until all water dried on the low flame.
Add the shredded coconut and mix well. Let it cook for a minute.
Peerkangai /  Ridge Gourd Poriyal is ready to serve.
