Ulundhu / Urad gram Kanji

Urad gram batter - 1 cup, Cardamom powder - 1 tsp, dry ginger powder - 1/2 tsp, Jaggery - 1/2 cup, Shredded coconut - 1 tbsp
For Urad gram batter: 1/4 cup urad gram, 1 tbsp rice

Get all the ingredients ready.
Soak urad gram and rice for 30 minutes. Drain the urad gram and transfer it into blender. Add little water and blends into smooth paste.
In a sauce pan, take the urad gram paste, add 3 cups of  water and mix well without lumps.
Continuously stir and cook until it becomes to start thick.
Add jaggery and mix well.
After dissolve the jaggery, add dry ginger powder, cardamom powder and mix well.
Cook it on the low flame until the getting kanji consistency and the nice aroma comes. Once it cooked add shredded coconut, mix well and switch off the flame.
Ulundhu / Urad gram Kanji is ready to serve.
