Pavakkai Poriyal / Bitter Gourd Curry

Pavakkai - 1, Onion - 1/2, Green chilli - 2, Curry leaves, Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp, Oil - 1 tbsp, Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp, Urad gram - 1 tbsp, Salt, Shredded coconut - 1/2 cup


Get all  the ingredients ready.
Heat the pan with 1 tbsp of oil, add mustard seeds when it splutters, add urad gram, green chilli, curry leaves, onion and saute well until onion turns to golden brown.
Add pavakkai, salt, turmeric powder, saute well and close the pan to cook for 15 minutes on middle flame or until pavakkai becomes soft. 
Then, add shredded coconut, mix well and cook for a minute.
Pavakkai Poriyal / Bitter Gourd Curry is ready to serve.
