Surakkai Kuzhambu | Bottle Gourd Gravy

Surakkai - 1, Oil - 2 tbsp, Mustard seeds -1/2 tsp, Pearl onion - 7, Red dry chilli - 3, Curry leaves, Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp, Tomato - 1, Salt


Get all the ingredients ready.
Heat the pan with oil, add mustard seeds when it splutters, add onion, add red dry chilli, add curry leaves and saute well until onion turn golden brown.
Add tomato, saute well and cook for a minute. Add surakkai, add turmeric powder, add salt and add 1 cup of water.
Cover with a lid and let it cook in medium flame for 10 minutes or until the surakkai is cooked well.
Allow it, the water has dried and smashed it.
Surakkai Kuzhambu | Bottle Gourd Gravy is ready to serve with rice, dosa and chapati.
