Get all the ingredients ready. |

Heat the pan with oil, add mustard seeds when it splutters, add garlic, onion, red dry
chilli, curry leaves, & saute well until onion turns to golden brown
and add tomato , saute well for 2 minutes. Add avarakkai and saute well for a minute. |

Add turmeric powder, sambar powder, salt and saute well. Add 1/4 cup water and cook for 5 minutes. |
|
Add tamarind puree and add a cup of water to adjust the kuzhambu
consistency. Close the pan and cook for 10 minutes on medium flame. |
|
Once, the kuzhambu becomes thick and let it simmer on low flame for 2-3 minutes. |
