Vazhakkai Thoran | Raw Plantain Curry


Ingredients
Vazhakkai / Raw plantain - 1, Coconut oil, Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp, Garlic cloves - 5, Green chilli - 2, Red dry chilli - 2, Curry leaves, Onion - 1/2 chopped, Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp, Shredded coconut - 1/2 cup, Salt


Method

Get all the ingredients ready.
Cut & cook vazhakkai along with turmeric powder and salt for 15 minutes or it becomes soft.
Drain cooked vazhakkai from water and keep aside.
In a blender, add coconut, green chilli, garlic and blends into a coarse powder.
Heat the pan with oil, add mustard seeds when it splutter,  red dry chilli, curry leaves and onion, saute well until onion  turn to golden brown.
Add cooked vazhakkai, salt and mix well and cook for a minute.
Add coconut mixture.
Then, mix well and cook for a minute in low minute.
Vazhakkai Thoran | Raw Plantain Curry is ready to serve.
