Rava (Sooji) Chakli | Instant Muruku Recipe

Rava (Sooji) - 1/2 cup, Fried gram flour (Besan) - 1/4 cup, Rice flour - 1 cup, Cumin seeds - 1 tsp, Sesame seeds - 1 tsp, chilli powder - 1 tsp, Butter - 1 tbsp, Water - 1 cup, Salt


Get all the ingredients ready.
Heat the pan with 1 cup of water, mix butter in hot water.
Butter is melted, add rava and mix well.
Mix it well without lumps.
Close the pan and simmer for 2 minutes on low flame.
Transfer, the cooked rava (sooji) into a large bowl and split them.
Add fried gram flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, chilli powder, salt and mix well.
Mix it and slowly add water as required and knead.
Knead to smooth soft dough.
Take star mold and fix to the chakli maker. Grease the chakli maker with some oil and place the dough inside maker. Apply oil on the slotted spoon and make spiral shape chakli by pressing.
Slide the chakli into hot oil by using slotted spoon. Fry chakli on medium flame. Flip it and fry until its turns to golden brown and crispy from both sides.
Drain them to the paper towel to remove excess oil.
