Get all the ingredients ready. |

Soak Chana dal for 2 hours. Transfer into a cooker along with 4 cup of water and pressure cook for 3 whistles and drain off the water. Keep aside and cool it completely. |

In a blender add boiled chana gram, sugar and cardamom.

Blends into a smooth paste.

Make small lemon size balls. Now pooranam is ready and set aside on a plate. |  |
Now add maida, 2 tbsp of sugar and 2 tbsp of oil in a bowl and mix well. Then add required water mix well to make a soft dough. Knead this for 5 to 10 mins till it gets smooth. Just like this. |  |
Take a lemon sized ball from dough, gently flatten it. |  |
Place the pooranam in the middle of the dough. Gently gather the edges to the middle.

Cover the pooranam completely. |  |
Repeat the process until all the dough has been stuffed the pooranam. Apply the oil in hand and pressed the stuffed ball to spread. Spread the dough to form a circle.

Heat the dasa pan on medium flame and place the obbattu/poli and sprinkle some oil.

Cook for a minute on both sides. Once its golden on both sides, remove from dosa pan. Set aside on a plate and cool it completely. Once its cooled and transfer it into a container.
