Palaakottai Kuzhambu | Jackfruit seeds Gravy Recipe

 Palaakottai | Jackfruit seeds - 2 cup, Oli - 2 tbsp, Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp, Onion, red chili - 2, Tomato - 1, Curry leaves, Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp, Salt, Coconut - 1/2 cup, Fried gram - 2 tbsp, Fennel seeds - 1 tsp, Ginger - 1 piece, Garlic - 4 cloves, Curry masala powder - 1 & 1/2 tbsp, Coriander leaves, Curry Masala Powder Link:


Get all the ingredients ready.
Pressure cook the palaakottai for 2-3 whistles and peel it. Then, cut it into half and keep aside.
Heat the pan with oil, add mustard seeds when it splutters, add  onion, red chilli, curry leaves, & saute well until onion turns to golden brown.
Add tomato, turmeric powder and saute well for 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, add coconut, fried gram, fennel seeds, ginger, garlic and curry masala powder into a blender and blends it into a fine paste.
Add boiled palaakottai and saute well.
Add grounded masala, salt and cup of water to adjust the kuzhambu consistency. Close the pan and cook for 10 minutes on medium flame.
Once, the kuzhambu becomes thick and let it simmer on low flame for 2-3 minutes, add Malli.
Palaakottai Kuzhambu | Jackfruit seeds Gravy is ready to serve with rice, idli and dosa.
