Get all the ingredients ready. |

In a large bowl, stir together the wheat flour, vallarai keerai powder, salt, oil and enough water to make a soft dough. Grease the dough with little oil and rest for 30 minutes. |

Pinch a medium sized ball dough, roll and flatten it and roll it in a thin circle. |

In a hot tawa, place a rolled chapathi and cook for a minute, when the base is partly cooked, flip the chapathi. Cook until both sides are cooked. |

Brush oil / ghee and press slightly. |
