Authentic Kollu Paruppu/Horse Gram Chutney

Kollu parappu/Horse gram - 1 cup, Oil - 1 tsp, Garlic - 3 cloves, Pearl onion  - 6, Green chilli 3, Whole Malli/Coriander seeds - 3/4 tbsp, Cumin - 3/4 tbsp, Curry leaves, Salt

Get all the ingredients ready
Pressure Cook the kollu paruppu for 10-12 whistles.
Drain the water and cool it completely, keep aside.
Heat the pan with oil, add onion, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves, whole malli, cumin and saute well for a minute until the onions are soft and cool it completely.
Transfer the masala spices into the blender. 
Blends it to the fine masala paste.
In a Blender, add Kollu Paruppu,masala paste, salt and blend it to a coarse paste.
Kollu Paruppu chutney is ready to  serve with rice, dosa and chapati.
