Vazhakkai Poriyal | Raw Banana Curry

Vazhakkai / Raw plantain - 1, Oil, Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp, Urad gram - 1 tbsp, green chilli - 2, Curry leaves, Onion - 1/2 chopped, Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp, Shredded coconut - 1/2 cup, Salt


Get all the ingredients ready.
Cut & cook vazhakkai along with turmeric powder and salt for 15 minutes or it becomes soft. Drain cooked vazhakkai from water and keep aside.
Heat the pan with oil, add mustard seeds when it splutter, add urad gram, green chilli, curry leaves and onion, saute well until onion  turn to golden brown.
Add shredded coconut, salt and saute well for a minute on medium flame.
Add cooked vazhakkai and mix well and cook for a minute in low flame.
Vazhakkai Poriyal | Raw Banana Curry is ready to serve.
