Kollu /Horse Gram Rasam

Kollu boiled water - 1 cup, Oil - 1 tbsp, Mustard seeds/Vadagam - 1, Pearl onion - 5, Garlic - 4, Green chilli - 1, Curry leaves, Tomato - 1/2, Red dry chilli - 2 , Whole malli/Coriander seeds - 1/2 tbsp, Cumin - 1/2 tbsp, Tamarind water - 1/4 cup, Salt

Get all the ingredients ready
Pressure cooker the kollu paruppu for 10-12 whistles. Drain the water and cool it completely, keep aside.
Heat the pan with oil, add onion, garlic, green chilli, whole malli, cumin and saute well for a minutes until the onion are soft and cool it completely.
Transfer the masala spices into the blender, blends it to the fine paste.
Add this fine paste to drain  kollu water and add tamarind water and salt.
Heat the pan with oil add vadagam or mustard seeds, when it splutters add red dry chilli, curry leaves and tomato saute well cook for a minute.
 Finally, add that mixed water into the pan.
Let it simmer on low flame for 10 minutes.. 
Kollu Rasam is ready to serve with rice.
