Get all the ingredients ready | ![]() |
Pressure cooker the kollu paruppu for 10-12 whistles. Drain the water and cool it completely, keep aside. | ![]() |
Heat the pan with oil, add onion, garlic, green chilli, whole malli, cumin and saute well for a minutes until the onion are soft and cool it completely. | ![]() |
Transfer the masala spices into the blender, blends it to the fine paste. Add this fine paste to drain kollu water and add tamarind water and salt. | ![]() |
Heat the pan with oil add vadagam or mustard seeds, when it splutters add red dry chilli, curry leaves and tomato saute well cook for a minute. | ![]() |
Finally, add that mixed water into the pan. | ![]() |
Let it simmer on low flame for 10 minutes.. | ![]() |
Kollu Rasam is ready to serve with rice. | ![]() |
